BACKGROUND
My name is Murungi Richard. Our family is located in the Kagadi district, in Bunyoro region in Uganda. My father is a peasant and my mother is a primary teacher. I attended my primary level and secondary level in a government aided school, because of the financial crisis we have in our family.
WHY
My love and care towards the sick encouraged me to join the medical field. For the past years, our society has been having poor health services, without any health center in our sub-county. In the future, I would like to save the lives of people who die because of negligence among the responsible service providers; like clinical officers, who prioritize their own interests. My dream job is to become an excellent doctor who treat and saves lives for the sick. My dream is to help the mothers who die while giving birth in our community, due to the poor health services.
INTERESTS
Besides studies, I like playing football, reading novels and sharing life experiences with my friends.

Q: How can I trust Murungi Richard is a real student?

A: Murungi Richard has applied for a scholarship from Help to Help and was granted one. We have reviewed the written application and conducted a thorough interview with Murungi Richard . We have also double-checked the given identity with Mbarara University . We now and then also do home-visits and met with a majority of our students.

Q: If I donate, what happens with my donation?

A: Each semester, Help to Help pay school fees for our students. We reserve the right to only pay school fees for students who live up to the agreed terms and conditions for the scholarship which includes submitting grades in time, good academic perform and continuous communication with Help to Help among other things. The payments are done directly to each university. Once payments are done, we demand the universities to send us official receipts.
