BACKGROUND
I grew up in Kilimanjaro Religion, Hai District. I depended on my aunts to support my school fees and other needs and have worked hard to make sure I perform well. My parents are peasants and my aunts are catholic nuns. I have one brother who is in form two and he is studying in a government school.
WHY
I choose this field of study because of the current situation in Tanzania and the world at large. We see that people are suffering because they lack knowledge about how the climate affects production. By taking this course, I get good knowledge on how to deal with this situation. The food science course will help me solve problems concerning nutrition, especially for babies who need a balanced diet. My dream job is to have my own bakery for making food and employ people who would work in the company.
INTERESTS
During my free time, I like to engage myself in doing small things like baking bread and Maandazi which I sell to my colleagues to gain some money for my needs. I am also studying hard. When I'm at home I like to cook some food and sell it in the village to gain money for my family.
