BACKGROUND
My name is Experansa Mao, I was born and grew up in Moshi. In my family we are two children and I am the first born followed by my young sister who is in secondary school. Currently me and my young sister we are living with our grandmother at Kibosho because our mother passed away. 2016 I finished my secondary school and being admitted at Kilimanjaro Christian medical college pursuing my first degree as a Doctor in Medicine.
WHY Medicine & Health
My dream job is to become a competent and good gynecologist because I want to work with women health. Especially female reproductive health, prevention of sexual transmitted diseases and other chronic diseases such as ovarian cancer, breast cancer and cervical cancer.

The scholarship has enabled me to complete my university studies. For the upcoming 6 months, I’ll be doing internship and educating my community on how to protect themselves on airborne diseases such as Covid-19. First education on how to prevent the spread of viruses and on how one can protect him or herself from acquiring the virus. For example, on how to wash hands, how to wear the face mask and how to cover oneself when sneezing or coughing. Also, the education must be provided in a simple language which is easily understood by the community. Also, the protective gears such as face mask and hand sanitizers should be available and at affordable price. I am very thankful to all donors who have helped me complete my studies. You have enabled me to move steps ahead in my carrier. May Almighty God bless you and grant you all more than you have given. THANK YOU SO MUCH.

Q: How can I trust Experansa Mao is a real student?

A: Experansa Mao has applied for a scholarship from Help to Help and was granted one. We have reviewed the written application and conducted a thorough interview with Experansa Mao . We have also double-checked the given identity with Kilimanjaro Christian Medical College. We now and then also do home-visits and met with a majority of our students.

Q: If I donate, what happens with my donation?

A: Each semester, Help to Help pay school fees for our students. We reserve the right to only pay school fees for students who live up to the agreed terms and conditions for the scholarship which includes submitting grades in time, good academic perform and continuous communication with Help to Help among other things. The payments are done directly to each university. Once payments are done, we demand the universities to send us official receipts.

Q: Why does each student have their own fundraising profile?

A: We believe in a global "we" - our crowdfunding platform is a way for our students to express what societal issues they want to bring change to, and a way for our funders to learn and join their important causes by donating to their studies.
