BACKGROUND
I am a second year biomedical engineering student, and the seventh born in a family of nine children. I have three brothers and five sisters, and most of them dropped out at secondary level and primary level, due to financial causes. Both of my parents are peasants, and we always support them to earn a living. My primary and secondary education was half sponsored and topped up by my family.
WHY
I chose my field in order to cater for people in lower health facilities by inventing low-cost - yet same purpose - machines or equipment, that they can afford considering their financial level. I also chose the field to exploit my interest in innovation, particularly within healthcare. My dream job is within the area of research and innovation. In the next four years, I see myself inventing new technologies of machines, and improving the existing ones in diagnosis and therapy in hospital environments.
INTERESTS
I love Bible study and volunteering. I love discovering new technology through watching technology sites, such as the Discovery science.
